Well, we went back to Ft Myers FL again for our 2nd trip this year. Hoping to do another one before year end. Here is what we did..........
Friday...........Got into Ft Myers and settled in the house. Had to turn water etc back on. Got some groceries and got ready for our vacation.
Saturday.........We decided to take it kinda easy this night since we had a long trip on Friday. We got up and had breakfast then set out to the Shell Factory. This is a pretty cool place. It has a huge shopping place where you could buy any shell you could think of. They also had a nature park which was the highlight of this place. We got to watch the alligators getting fed and pet a baby alligator. They had lots of other animals there as well. They also had a whole dinosaur area set up with huge dinosaurs. This was a fun place! Afterwards we found a awesome wing place and got Logan's favorite "chicken wings. Afterwards we headed back to the house and went swimming in the pool. I love the pool there. It is soooo nice. We then decided to order a pizza from this GREAT place called "A little taste of New York". It was yummy! We put Logan to bed because Sunday was gonna be a filled day.
Sunday............We got up and ate breakfast and headed to the beach. We went to Ft Myers beach and found a small secluded area with only like 3 other people there. It was very nice. The water was a little more cloudy than previous visits but it was still like bath water. We spent the day there then at lunch time headed to the beach city to eat. We ate at a place right on the water and got to sit outside. We then talked Logan into heading back to the house to rest a little bit. We went back to the house and had drinks since it was sooo hot. We then went and jumped in the pool to relax. After doing that we decided to go back to the beach for the sunset. Logan had bought a boogie board earlier that day so he was excited to use it at the beach. We went back to the beach and it was AWESOME. It was beautiful put and sooo peaceful. Logan got on his boogie board and at one point actually stood up on it. He would be a GREAT surfer if we lived there! After that we went and had dinner at a place called the Crab Pincher. We ate there when we were there in May and it was one of my favorites. We then went home and put Logan to bed. It was a fantastic day.
Monday...........We went to Sanibel Island. which is a island near Ft Myers with white sand and blue water. This Island is known for shelling. The water again was not as blue but beautiful. Logan found lots and lots of shells and even 2 sand dollars. He was way thrilled. We then went and ate lunch at Jimmy Buffets Cheeseburger in Paradise. That was a yummy place! We headed back to the house to rest up for a few minutes. We headed back to Ft Myers beach and the boys rented a jet ski. Of course me being a mom was scared to death the see my baby on the jet ski with his dad. They were flying up and down the ocean and I was so scared. There were dolphins swimming beside them. i thought that was the neatest thing ever. Logan came back to shore and was thrilled he LOVED it. I am glad they had a great time doing that! After that we layed on the beach and watched the sun set again. We then went and got take out and went home and ate. Everyone was pretty tired from he eventful day.
Tuesday............Departure day............We woke up and had breakfast and went down to the pool. We spent most of the day at the pool because Marc and I were able to clean and pack the night before when Logan went to bed. it was nice to be able to relax in the pool before heading home. We left for the airport at 5pm. Right when we got on the plane and before taking off, Logan fell asleep. He slept the full 3 hours to Dallas. We got to Dallas and he was refreshed. I am glad that he does so well on planes now. He is a pro!
overall we had a FANTASTIC time and Ft Myers is our home away from home! It is nice to have a home to go to when we want to vacation!

Trip To The Zoo
So something really cool happened when we spent the day at the zoo. We were looking at the penguins and the zoo keeper came up to Logan and asked him if he would like to feed the penguins. His eyes lit up and he shouted "yes pelase". I was shocked. This is not a everyday thing! The zoo keeper took us back in the small room. He pulled out a bucket that was filled with fish and a clip board. He showed Logan how to feed the fish to the penguins by holding them in the middle and handing the fish to them head first. He then told Logan that while Logan fed the penguins he was going to write down on the clip board how much each penguine ate. All penguins are labled on their legs with their names. The zoo keeper opened this little blue door and all of the penguins came running up to Logan. He sat there and fed all of the penguins their fish. The zoo keeper then gave him a mini tour of the kennels that the penguins sleep in. He let him stand partially in the exibit to feel the temperature. They are African penguins, so the temp was the same as it was in the room. It was an AMAZING experience and of course Logan can't stop talking about it!!!

Back to the Beach................
I am so excited to write this post!!! Marc's Uncle passed away in July. His house was left to his mom and aunt. They are unable to keep the house due to it being so far away and the up keep. The house is in Ft Myers FL beach. They are planning to put the house on the market next year. Marc and I decided that we should take another vacation out there since we love that place so much and we have a place to stay!! We got on priceline last night and got our plane tickets for the end of September, so back to the beach we go!!! I can't wait and of course Logan is sooooooo excited!!

Logan's Friend Xander
I know this is silly to be weepy about but I honestly did get weepy...............back when Logan was in soccer he made a friend named Xander. He would always talk about him and call him his "best friend". After soccer we started T-ball and Xander and Logan were on the same team. Xander invited Logan to his 4th birthday party. Logan was sooooo excited. When I saw Logan opening the invitation to his party, I seriously teared up. yes Logan has friends that he adores. I guess what I teared up about is that this is his first friend that he made on his own and that we did not know the parents beforehand. This is his first friend that he made. I know that sounds really silly, but all of the friends that Logan had (which he loves) are kids of our friends. We went to Xander's birthday party on Sunday and Marc and I were actually a little nervous because we did not know ANYONE (except Xander's wonderful parents) there. Everyone was really nice and Logan had a BLAST playing with all his new friends. Xander and his family live really close to us and are member of the YMCA so we will be getting together more. heck they may even go to pre-school together :) I dont know what it made me tear up but I feel like we have reached the age where he starts making friends and it makes me sad that he is not little anymore. However that being said, this is an AMAZING age and I love all the the milestones he is making. So, here is to more friends and more memories that come along and make me cry :) I will post pictures from T-ball with Logan and Xander and a couple of the birthday party.

Goodbye Uncle John
We received a call from Florida on July 2 that Marc's Uncle John passed away in his sleep. He had not been to work in 2 days and the hotel where he worked at for 25 years sent a police officer to the house to check and they found him in bed. It was extremely devistating to our family since we were just there 2 months ago visiting him and had a amazing trip. To that, we are thankful. He lived a great life and took care of his mother until 3 years ago when she passed away. I am gld to have known him and to have spent time with him. He was such a great son, brother and uncle. He will truely be missed. Marc flew to Florida on July 7 and came home july 12. We decided not to make Logan make the trip because it would not be very much fun for him. Alot of sitting around and taking care of things. I took the week off of work and spent time with Logan. The funeral was nice and Marc got to meet up with some family members. His mom stayed in Florida to take care of some legal issues. To our surprise, Marc was left in charge of just about everything down there and will have to make other trips to discuss legal issues. We miss you Uncle John!!!!

Our Trip To The Beach...............
We are back from Florida. What an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G trip!!!! We left on the red eye and we were kinda scared how Logan would do, but he did GREAT. He slept the whole entire way. We arrived in Florida at 9am. We had the whole day ahead of us and to top it off it was Mother's Day! We got our car and went to Marc's uncle's house and had breakfast. We then went and checked into our hotel and decided to take a little nap. The hotel is amazing. this is where Marc's uncle works and we had the room for free for the entire week. It opened up to the pool that had a tiki bar that was right beside it. There were tons of palm trees surrounding the pool. It is such a great atmosphere. After nap, we went back to his Uncle's house to enjoy the pool. It was such a beautiful day. The water felt great. After swimming we had Mother's Day dinner at his uncle's house. We then went back to the hotel to turn in and to get ready for the next day.......
Monday...........
Beach Time!!! Beach Baby Logan was all ready to go. After breakfast we set out to Ft Myers Beach. It was about a 7 minute drive from the hotel. Not bad at all. We got to the beach and put up our umbrella and towels and enjoyed the water. Logan had a blast. We went shelling and hung out in the water. We stayed for about 3 hours then decided that we needed to get some lunch. We went to this awesome beach resturant that was on the beach and had lunch. After lunch we walked around some shops, then let Logan go back in the water 1 more time. We headed back to the hotel and hit the pool then got ready for dinner at a wonderful Steak House in Ft Myers. Long day at the beach and in the sun.........bedtime.
Tuesday.............
We woke up and enjoyed the pool in the morning then got ready to head to San Isabel island. This island is known for shelling. We got there and the water was bright blue and the sand was white. There were shells everywhere. We set up our stuff and headed into the water. it was great. you could reach your hand down and come up with a hand full of shells. Logan brought home tons of shells. We spent most of the day there and then decided to head back. On the way back we stopped at one of the many outlet malls. Of course I hit the Coach store and drooled over everything then whined the rest of the day that I HAD to have a certain purse. I think that it may just be waiting for me for my birthday lol. I might have "accidentally" seen a receipt.
We then headed to a resturant called the Shrimp Shack. It was so good! Logan did not have a nap so after the dinner we went back to the hotel to give him a bath and get him ready for bed. Marc and I were secretly glad that he was sleepy so that we could spend some quality time together. We got Logan to sleep and spent time on the porch (right outside the door we could hear Logan) having drinks and great conversation. Had to hit the bed to get ready for Wednesday.........
Wednesday.............
We woke up and ate breakfast at the hotel. We left the hotel and went to Ron Jon's surf shop. Marc had been dying to go there. We got a few souvieners and then head down to Ft Myers Beach. We had reservations for the Pirate Cruise. This is a kids cruise that specialized in kids activities. They did face painting, dancing, treasure hunts and games. Logan had a blast. He loved it. before the cruise we ate on the water and it was beautiful. After the Cruise we went back to the beach area where Marc treated me to a henna tattoo. I got a dolphin on my foot. Needless to say the following day i got sunburned on my feet and now you cant see the tatoo. We headed back to the hotel to give Logan a nap and to get ready for date night. Marc's Uncle got us tickets to a dinner show. We dropped off Logan at his Uncle's house, the headed out. We arrived and had dinner and then the show was "The Wedding Singer". It was alot of fun and it was great having quality time together. After the show we went to a wine/cigar bar. It was fun. I got a martini and he got a beer so no wine there. lol. We returned and picked Logan up and headed to the hotel........bedtime.
Thursday............
We woke up and headed down to Ft Myers Beach. We had a 11:30am appointment...........for........parasailing. It was absolutely amazing. They took us out on a small transfer boat which took us out to the parasailing boat. We harnessed in and took off for parasailing. The boat took off and we shot up in the air. it was so fun. i love it and I am addicted to it now. We were in the air for about 20 minutes then the boat slowed down and dipped us in the after then we shot back up. We dipped again then went back up in the air for about 10-15 more minutes. I am so glad that we did this. It was a GREAT experience. After parasailing we stayed at the beach a few more house to give "beach baby" more time in the water. After spending time in the water we went shopping at some of the stores by the beach. After shopping we went to eat at "Crab Pincher". The food was so good. Afterwards we went back to the hotel to hit the pool then to pack so that we were ready to go on Friday.
Friday..............departure day :(
We woke up and went to the pool then took our showers and headed to the airport. the flight home was long, but Logan did really well and he slept all the way home.
We are home now and are seriously thinking about moving to Florida. It would not be any time soon, maybe a 5 year plan? the cost of living is great out there and I really want beach baby to grow up by the water. Overall it was a great trip with my family and I would not trade being with both of them on a family vacation for anything int he world. I will post pictures when I get them!!!

Easter 2009 Festivities
What a great Easter weekend we had! I got to start my weekend with Friday off for Good Friday. I went and took care of making my dream dinners then headed to pick up mom to celebrate Easter with her. Our new thing with the exception of Christmas is that for holiday's we will spend the day before or the couple of days before with our families then the actual holiday will be just the 3 of us. This is working out so well and things are so stress free! This way, Logan gets to not be so overwhelmed on the actual holiday and he can enjoy it. So, first up was my mom. I picked her up after dream dinners on Friday. We had some errands to run and we took her with us. We had planned to make dinner but decided on a late lunch instead. We went out for lunch then went back to our house so that she could give Logan his Easter basket and watch him find a few eggs. We took her home later that evening. On Saturday, Logan had a soccer game and the Easter bunny was going to be at the YMCA before the game. We left early and went to the Y and let him take a picture with the Easter bunny. He was so funny he just jumped right up and sat on his lap and said "monkies" (instead of cheese) when his picture was taken. Logan had his soccer game then we headed over to Karen' s(Marc's mom) for Easter there. We had some lunch and Logan did another egg hunt and Karen gave him a Easter Basket. We headed home so that we could get Logan ready for bed cause the Easter bunny had to do it's thing :). Logan went to bed and Marc and I got to relax and stay up a little bit together which is something that we rarely get to do. We put the basket and all his stuff that would not fit in the basket like his skateboard and hot wheels sets (hopefully will have pictures soon) beside the basket. It looked like Christmas in the living room. Marc then hid the eggs in the house because we knew there would be snow in the morning. That morning Logan woke us up at 7:30 am (which is really early for him) saying "come on come on the Easter bunny came", so we had to run downstairs. Marc went first and grabbed the camera so he could get Logan's expression when he made it down the stairs. Logan had so much fun with all his new toys and hunting eggs AGAIN. We had planned on going to the Sky Sox game that day and they were going to have a huge easter egg hunt but with all the snow it was cancelled. They will postpone for another day so that will be good. We made lunch (ham, mashed potatos, green beans, deviled eggs, and rolls). We all then took a nap! After the nap we took Logan outside to play in t e snow. It was a weird snow. The snowballs were really hard. Over all we had a FANTASTIC family weekend and none of us are tired since we spread it out a little :)

My Time With Mom
Ok so I dreaded this in a past post, but my time with my mom was not as nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It started on Saturday morning. Logan and I went and picked her up and got her in the car. Kylie had already brought me all of her stuff so that was easy! We went to Target and she actually did fine. She held on to the cart as we shopped. Of course she had to buy Logan a toy. So she was excited and happy to do that, well needless to say they both were :) After we finished at Target we went to the movies to see Monsters vs Aliens. They both did really well in the movie. I got a little upset cause mom accidentally dumped all of the popcorn out on the floor, but it was not her fault, I gave it to her in the left hand which since the stroke she can not feel that well. After the movies we went and had lunch then headed home. I put Logan down for a nap with Marc then me and mom went to Ross and TJ Maxx. Everything went smooth there too! I thought the day would be alot worse with mom and a potty training toddler but it went rather smooth! The next day was the worst day of all of them. I woke mom up and decided to give her a shower. I have a really high spa bathtub and I knew this was gonna be a challenge (I dont know why I did not think to put her in Logan's tub). She took a shower and I went to get her out and she could not get her left leg out of the shower. She ended up getting tired and straddling the shower and sitting down. I could not get her up for anything. It was the hardest thing ever. I just stood there and cried. She was not listening to me. I think that she may have had a stroke that morning. I ended up pulling her onto the floor and sliding her into the bigger part of the bathroom so that she could get her balance and stand up. Finally after 1 1/2 hours, she got up and I was able to get her dressed. I was so frustrated and got a little mad but I think that I handled it pretty darn well. I took her to get a haircut and lunch then headed home so that everyone could take a nap before dinner time. We made dinner that night and had a good evening. Monday was the best day of all of them. I decided to stay at home from work and to spend time with mom. We woke up and I took her to lunch at Joe's Crab Shack then we went to the mall and walked around. Well, mom was "pushed" arounf hahahah. We had a really good time together and no hassles that day whatsoever. We had takeout that night for dinner and go ready for the next day. Tuesday she stayed with Marc then we would have dinner after I got home from work. Wed was the same deal then after dinner I took her home because Kylie came home that night. I think that it went really well and I am so glad I got to spend time with her.

March 2009 Blizzard
Well the blizzard arrived. I went into a meeting yesterday at 11:00 and it was partly sunny. I came out of the meeting at 12:45 and all heck had broken loose. It was a complete white out. The panic around the office set in. We had tickets to Disney on Ice and it was cancelled and if you still want to go you have to take your tickets to the box office and exchange for another day. That was kinda a bummer because we had really really good seats. the malls were closing down, all schools and even some banks. My friend Lisa who works with me also lives by me. We decided that we would leave together and follow each other home. We left the office and cleaned our cars off and headed home at 2:20pm. It usually takes about 20 minutes to get home. We arrived home yesterday at 4:25pm. Yes, that long in the freaking car!!!! It was so horrible. There were many people on the roads and the roads were a sheet of ice. We had to u turn about 2 times on the way home due to roads being closed or cars that were unable to make it up hills. I was lucky that I was in my SUV for the ride home yesterday!!! Our boss told us that he would call us all at 5am and let us know if we were to come to work or not. He called me this morning and told me that he contacted CDOT (he lives in Loveland works out of the Loveland office) and that the roads were clear and fine. I set off to discover the OPPOSITE. It was so horrible on the way to work but the good thing is that there was hardly anyone on the roads. I left the house at 6:10am and arrived to work at 7;15am. I did get scared when I slid into the curb, but nothing was damaged. I made it to work and so did everyone else and now it looks like the roads are clearing up! Guess that the ride home will be alot better AND we get to go to Disney on Ice!

Getting Ready For Mom
Kylie will be leaving from March 28-April 1 on a trip to Vegas with her husband. Guess who will have mom full time while she is away............yes that is right...........me. On one hand I am looking forward to it, but on the other hand I am not. I always see my mom as she was in the past and not how she is now. We would go to lunch together everyday since we worked at the same place and we would go out to breakfast every Friday. We would go on great shopping trips and sometimes they would be all day and all night shopping trips. It was so much fun. Now since her strokes, it is kinda like I am the mother and all the fun is gone. It feels like she is unale to do anything on her own and that I have to do it all for her. From bathing to walking to even watching TV. In order to even prepare for her stay I have to do some changes at the house so that she can walk without bumping into any furniture, we have to put a bed downstairs so that she does not fall down the stairs in the middle of the night, we have to put baby covers on the doors so that she doesn not mistake outside for the bathrrom, we have to have "rubber sheets" and diapers for nightime. Alot of work will go into this stay. It is just a sad and scary thought to think that all the fun times are out the window and now I am just annoyed. What I have to try to remember is that she does not know any better and that I have to have patience (which I lack completely). I am going to try and make this week with her a fun week. I am going to try and go on a shopping trip and to the movies. If it is not like it was in the past, oh well I have to accept that and I have to make it good for the future. I say this, but can I really do it and think that way? I am certainly going to try!

Soccer Time!!
Logan is now all signed up for Soccer. He will begin April 4 and goes on for 2 months. It is kinda funny with the 3-4 age group. He will have practice for 30 minutes then the last hour is an actual game. Their jersey's are so cute. They are red on one side and white on the other side so that they can just switch them depending on what team they are on that day. Right when Soccer ends, the following Saturday t-ball begins. Marc is going to coach the team for t-ball. Right when T-ball ends basketball and flag football start. I think we are going to do the football instead of the basketball since they are at the same time. Looks like the next 2 years of sports is booked for us :) Can't wait. It is gonna be so much fun!
One Full Day In Underwear!!!!
So we did it!!! Or should I say Logan did it. Saturday we practiced using the potty and did really well all day long without a diaper. Sunday we decided to go to the zoo. I was a little hesitant at first to take him out of the house without a diaper but I knew I had to. I packed 2 changes of clothes, some diapers and we put the potty in the trunk. I dressed Logan and put his big boy underwear on. Yes that is right. Underwear. Not a pull up!!! We left the house and Marc had to go into Lowe's. Logan and I stayed in the car. A few minutes went by and I hear "mommy I have to pee pee". So I get him out, take him to the trunk (yes I know that sounds funny) and let him pee pee in the potty.........successful! We get to the zoo and the first thing we do is go to the potty........successful again!!! Everytime we passed a potty we went even if he said he did not have to. Our day at the zoo ended and we went home. For the rest of the day he had underwear on! I feel he is potty trained now. Yes there will be accidents but I feel for the most part we finally did it!!!! no more diapers for him except for at night. We can't go backwards now!!! We just have to realize that when we take him somewhere the fist stop will be the potty!

Daddy
Today, March 1,2009 ,is the 3 year anniversary of my father's death due to Cancer. I miss him so much and wish that he were here to be with us and expecially with his 2 grandsons. Not a day goes by that I dont think of my dad and wish that he was here. He was such a great father husband and grandfather. I miss him making jokes and making us all laugh. I miss going out to dinner with him. Heck, I even miss sitting at chemotheraphy with him because that was 2 hours that I got to see him and talk to him. I wish that he was here to be with Logan and cherish every minute that we have together. Logan was only 2 weeks old when we lost dad, but no matter how sick dad was he was in that hospital with me when I had him and he sat up all night long waiting for him. Dad was a great man and is missed dearly. Atleast we know that he is not suffering with that nasty cancer any longer. I love you dad and miss you.
Florida Here we come
So last night we booked our trip to Ft Myers Florida. We are excited to have a low key beach vacation since Disneyland was such a go go go trip. We will spend May 10-15 there. We are so excited and now Logan will be asking us everyday till then to go to the beach :)

February Activities
The Mohr's recently took a Disneyland trip for Logan's 3rd birthday. What a great time we all had! Logan found out about the trip at Christmas and asked me and Marc everyday until February 8 when we was going to see Mickey Mouse and Goofy. We arrived and took it easy on our travel day. We woke up extra early and got to Disneyland when they opened. You felt just like a kid there. You had that excitement the minute you arrived. Logan had a great time. The first day was mostly rain so we cut the day short and went back during the night. The following day we decided to have a low key day and visited Huntington Beach in the morning then went back to Disneyland at night. Logan loved the beach so much! It was a little chilly for him to swim but he ran around putting his feet in the water. Later that evening we went back to Disneyland and that conculded our Disney adventure. The following day we traveled to Sea World in San Diego. Logan loved this as well. He would not stop talking about Shamu. We ended our vacation with a great seafood resturant in Anaheim. What a fabulous trip we all had! It was a great time!!!
Marc went to Vegas the week after with some friends for a convention so I was able to have 2 weeks off of work and to spend time with Logan as well as our friends and family. Unfortunately my nephew was sick so that ruined some of the plans we had, but luckily he got better because the following Saturday was Logan's 3rd birthday party. We got to spend time with Jess, Erin and all the kids. Kimberly and I had some time together and Kylie and I mostly spent our time on the phone so that Logan did not get sick. So much fun!!!
Marc returned then Logan's 3rd birthday party was 2 days later. It was such a great time! All of our friends and family were there and Logan had a baseball party theme. The local mascot of the minor league team came ("Sox the Fox). Logan was so excited as well as the kids (well most of them Jess :).
This Saturday I will be hosting a baby shower for our friend Keiko who is married to Pat. She is due March 6.
We are currently planning a beach vacation for a week in May. We plan to go to Florida. Logan is already excited that he is going to the beach again.
Overall, the Mohr's had a great February and want to say thank you to all friends and family who participated in the fun.
Pictures of Disney, Seaworld, Vegas and Party to follow soon.

Time To Start Blogging
Hey everyone. My friend Erin blogs frequently and I thought that today I would start as well. I think that this will be a great way to keep everything posted on the Mohr's. Keep checking back for daily posts :)
