Wiggly Teeth

Logan had his 6 month check up at the dentist last week. I was surprised and shocked to hear that he has several wiggly teeth. The dentist says to expect him to lose them within the next month or so. This definitly brought tears to my eyes! Now when we brush he plays with the wiggly teeth and now wants to eat corn on the cob all the time. My little man is growing up!!

Almost 5 year old and Donkey Kong

This past weekend we went on a overnight trip to Denver to visit some friends. They got a Wii for Christmas and had the Donkey Kong game. Logan loved that game but did not get to play alot because there were 2 other boys that he had to share with. When we returned home, Logan and I went to Blockbuster to rent the Wii game. Logan started playing Saturday night and since it was the weekend we did not really limit his time on the Wii. We only let him play either the ipad, Wii or DS for 1 hour on the weekdays. So he started playing the game on Saturday evening. I have to admit that I was pretty addicted to it as well. I got a call at work on Monday and it was Logan very excited. He beat the ENTIRE game. I could not belive it. It is a hard game and he is not even 5 yet!! So impressed!!

Christmas Time!

It has been a while since I have blogged. So much has happened but I am going to try not and go back so far that I forget important things. I am just going to pick back up at Christmas Time. This year Christmas was very special for us because Logan is finally old enough to know alot about the season and to be very excited. November 26,2010 (Black Friday Holiday for me) started the season. I went at 2:30am in the morning to stand at Wal-mart with my sister in order to get her precious purchases (I was finished shopping). I love the crowds and the excitement of it all!! We ended up shopping until around 9:00am. This day was also special because it was Marc's birthday. So I went home freshened up and we took Marc out for his birthday. After celebrating, we arrived home to put up the Christmas Tree. Logan was sooooo much fun decorating this year and insisted that some things be a certain way. So, the Christmas season began!

1st Saturday in December we headed with Kylie and TJ to the Parade of lights downtown. We do this tradition with Kylie every year and have done this for the past 4 years. Wow it was cold this year but great fun!!

Every Year on December 12 it is a tradition for our family to get Starbucks then drive around and look at Christmas lights. This year we began in Stetson Hills then ended up at a church that does a drive through light display. Logan loves this display every year. The church member put the names of the kinds on the side of the car and as you drive through the characters (Santa, grinch etc) say hello to your child by name. It is always so fun to do this with him and to see the look on his face when Santa knows his name.
A few days later, we picked up TJ and headed to the Electric Safari at the zoo. We always love this event and have gone every year for the past 4 years. It is great fun for our family. They do such a wonderful job at the zoo making all the lights look so pretty and the attractions kid friendly and not scary. We renew our membership every December and will continue on with this tradition.

Christmas Cookie time!!! Logan and I made Christmas cookies and had a blast doing it this year. It is getting so much better with age!!

I took the last day of school off for Logan's Holiday Party. It was so much fun being able to participate (Marc usually does) in the party at school. We had a blast. After that we got some lunch and went to Manitou Springs to the penny arcade. What a great day!!

Logan came with me to work for our Holiday Party. I was a little worried because he came with me at 6am in the morning and I thought he would be really tired and cranky all day, but he stuck it out like a trooper and had lots of fun.
Christmas Eve is always a busy time trying to fit everyone in. We spend Christmas day with just the 3 of us so we have to fit everyone else in on Christmas Eve. We started this about 4 years ago and have been so happy that we decided to spend family time on Christmas day. Get to stay in PJ's and play with toys all day and not have to worry about leaving. We LOVE IT!! Christmas Eve morning started at Kylie's house. We had a wonderful lunch then the boys opened presents. Oh no......what did Logan get?? Nothing else but Cruncher the dinosaur. I have never seen a child hug his present that was in the box before. It was awesome!! Marc and I then had to fight with the huge box's that the trampoline and enclosures are in and get them in the car without them being seen. We then took them home and were too lazy to get them out of the car so we just switched cars. LOL!!!We spent most of the day at Kylie letting the boys play then headed over to Marc's mom's for dinner and more presents. After that, we went home, and we have yet another tradition. Logan gets to open 1 present (christmas pajamas, a christmas book and slippers). After doing so we put cookies out for Santa took a bath and headed to bed. Santa did not have much work at all to do this Christmas. Santa brought a bow and arrow, a HUGE pillow pet, Stinky the Garbage Truck and the biggest gift of all, a trampoline (yes the big one). Noting to be put together right now? Wow. Did not know what do do with my self!!

Christmas morning was a treat!!!Logan woke up jumping on the bed all excited and ask his dad to go downstairs and check and see if Santa had came. We make him do this every year so that Marc has time to get downstairs and get the tree on, music on and video camera ready. So Santa came and Logan ran downstairs. He was thrilled and so excited. he played with the stuff Santa brought him then it was on to opening presents. I went overboard like I do every year and he opened presents FOREVER. LOL. We spent the rest of the day enjoying a wonderful prime rib lunch and playing with toys!! Good thing I got lots of Wii games :)

Overall, it is memories like these that are so much fun looking forward to!! I cant wait for the next memory!! NEXT STOP: Birthday Central! I have a almost 5 year old already planning and running things :)

Choices, Choices..........better find something soon!

Sky Sox Kids Club

Ever since Logan was a baby, we have enjoyed the Sky Sox games. Logan loves baseball!! We have been buying ticket books every year. Every year we have signed Logan up for the Sky Sox Kids Club. This is an excellent club. The kids that are signed up, get a t-shirt, get in free to every Sunday games and get to run the bases at the Sunday games. This year they did a family evening where all the kids and their families got to run the bases and stay on the field for pictures, catch etc. This was a really fun day for us!! Cant wait until next season!!

Memorial Day Balloon Glow

Ever since Logan was a little baby we have enjoyed the balloon glow every year. What a nice tradition with our family! This year the Kelly family joined us. We got out to the park early and staked out our spot. We had a great picnic and the boys all had fun playing around. It was a great evening!!!

First homework Assignment

We looked into Logan's school folder and found out that we had a homework assignment to do. Marc and I just laughed and commented on how long it has been since we did homework and now we were starting all over again. The assignment was a cut out person that you were to make look like yourself. You were to get a mirror to study all the features of your face and then make the cut out look like you. You could use any supplies that you wanted. Parents were encouraged to participate. Logan and I headed to Hobby Lobby to get some supplies. He was so excited to be able to be a part of the decision making process. We bought some papers for shorts and shirts and shoes then we bought some string for the hair and buttons for the shirt. We headed home and after eating dinner the 3 of us sat down to make his picture. It was actually alot of fun. We studied the mirror and mom tried out her crafting abilities (I sucked!). After all was said and done, Logan was very excited of the person that he had made.
